Inspired by the painted paper elephant I wrote about in my Why Create Art? post last week I decided I would do some mark making using crayons and coloured pencils so that I can start to get some new textures and colours into my work. I’m really excited about how these random patterns and colours will find their way into my illustrations, looking forward to creating my next picture and working a bit of mark making into the process. Last week, when I was sorting through all the little bits and pieces I needed to write about my experience helping a family I know in Peru, I came across this animated gif I made earlier in the year that I’d completely forgotten about. Not only had I completely forgotten about the animation itself I had also completely forgotten that I even knew how to make animated gifs. It’s not the most exciting thing the world has ever known I know, but […]

This is just a sneak peek of what will be on offer to couples getting married at this beautiful venue, when I’m finished there will be a choice of seasonal collections on offer. You can see some examples of my other wedding stationery that features the venue in my Festival Inspired Wedding Stationery: Wedstock.

After spending an incredible month travelling in Thailand at the end of last year I wanted to capture my memories in a Thailand travel poster. I got so excited that I decided to make this piece bigger than any of my previous personal work. This finished piece is A1 – definitely big enough for me to feel warm and sunny whenever I look at it! I’ve also recently blogged about a smaller travel poster for Monsaraz, Portugal that I completed earlier this […]
